Thorsteinn has served as Managing Director of Storm Seafood since 2013 and as Head of Production and Sales at the same company in 2012.
In 2011 he worked on special projects for ABBA Seafood AB in Gothenburg, Sweden, and from 2006 to 2011, he served as Business Manager in Corporate funding for Glitnir and Lýsing. Previously, he was, among other things Director of Sæbýli in Vogar and Sales and Production Manager at Vinnslustodin in Vestmannaeyjar.
Thorsteinn holds a B.Sc. degree in fisheries from the University of Akureyri and M.Sc. degree in corporate finance from the University of Reykjavik.

Thorsteinn is married to Laufey Halldora Eyþórsdóttir and has four children.
