Leading British fish brand and experts in fresh fish and sauce combinations, The Saucy Fish Co. have today announced a move into the UAE.
This announcement follows a string of international moves from The Saucy Fish Co. as they continue to grow internationally, with Saucy Fish products now available in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Belgium and, as reveled last month, 181 Whole Food Market stores across five regions of America.
Spinney’s, who are affiliated with Waitrose and pride themselves on providing “the fresher experience”, proved to be an ideal premium partner for the brand and now stock Saucy products across 12 stores in Dubai.
The range is made up of five products from Saucy’s popular UK offerings, including Salmon with Watercress and Crème Fraiche Dressing along with Salmon with Red Pesto Sauce and Salmon with Sweet Chilli Sauce Foil Bake Bags. Salmon with Lime and Coriander Dressing and Roasted Lemon and Herb Salmon with Sicilian Lemon and Dill Mayo from the brand’s popular precooked, Ready to Eat range will also be available.
Paul Macis, International and Business Development Manager at The Saucy Fish Co. UK comments: “This is a big deal for The Saucy Fish Co. We’re very excited to introduce Saucy products to a new market in Dubai; having identified a premium partner in Spinney’s, we’re confident the range will prove popular, especially amongst expats from the UK. International purchases currently account for around 8% of Saucy Fish sales but we expect this to nearly double to 15% by the end of 2016.”
Since debuting in the chiller aisles of UK supermarkets in 2010, The Saucy Fish Co. has transformed the way millions of Brits think about fish and are emulating this success overseas. Earlier this year The Saucy Fish Co. secured CoolBrand status for the third year running, joining the likes of Netflix and Aston Martin to become one coolest brands in the UK.
In November 2015 The Saucy Fish Co. launched the Saucy Shop; an ecommerce site allowing consumers to buy the range of 19 fish and sauce products directly from Saucy Fish at the click of a button. The new Saucy Shop is the first time The Saucy Fish Co. has sold direct to the consumer, with products currently being stocked in Sainsburys, The Co-operative, Waitrose, Budgens, Booths & Ocado.
